T.L. Johnson Cigar Company is a small company based in Colorado and the Dominican Republic owned and operated by avid cigar smokers. With an eye for old school quality and complexity of flavor found in traditional cigars, our founder and Master Blender Terry Johnson has embraced a “seed to smoke” approach to hand-rolled craft cigar making for over 20 years.
Our goal is to create craft cigars in our fields and factory that take full advantage of what the French call “terroir”. By appreciating that the physical growing location, soil and water conditions along with the seasonal weather pattern produces tobacco that is unique in color, flavor, aroma and strength; we are able to create limited release blends that can be compared in uniqueness to single cask whisk(e)y or a vintage wine.
With direct control and oversight of tobacco processing and fermentation, hand rolling and cigar ageing, we are able to deliver a cigar with light nuance of flavor, robust construction and a smooth draw that can be enjoyed by both the new and experienced smoker.
